Almost all the shoes I buy that I end up wearing every day for usually 2-3 seasons (I.e. summer versus winter versus spring/fall) are in the $120-280 range. My top 3 shoes are Hunter boots for rain (haven’t gotten much use this year, last pair lasted 3 winters with heavy use I think), leather Fly London boots I bought 8 years ago, resoled within a year or two, and are now falling apart but still garnering compliments (but now replaced by a pair of camper boots I got at Xmas), and fly london sandals I got at 2 years ago that I wore all the last two summers and into fall with tights. All 3 were around 175 I think. I have a lot of sensory issues with clothes and shoes and I’m very picky about soles and I must be able to bike in the shoes without arch pain, and I have really long toes that many traditional women’s shoes Dont fit (too pointy and smash my little toes) and I can afford it, so its worth it to me.
