Also, regarding Brian J Scrivner and Matt Picio‘s discussion of banks: I actually don’t use BoA as a bank (holy shit no way) but I do use their cards because they have the Alaska Airlines reward card, and as you know, I travel way too much. I tried to have a local credit union acct at advantis but they screwed me out of access to $5000 for 3 months and had terrible service so I closed that account. I use a co-op bank, USAA (military bank) and they’ve never done me wrong, have phenomenal customer service, refund my ATM fees charged by other banks, don’t care if I move frequently or live abroad, and have had online check deposit since 2001 (and invented the first phone app – for blackberry- for mobile deposit.) So I like them a lot. I also have an OnPoint account because I am required to for the Oregon IDA savings program.
